Here's how the City of Montezuma works
Montezuma operates under a mayor-council government, elected on a city-wide basis for four-year, staggered terms.
The city is served by a full-time street department, sewer department, and municipally-owned natural gas, electric and water systems.
In the event of a power outage, the city's generating plant is ready to come online any time of the day or night.
Fire and ambulance services are provided by the highly trained, dedicated Montezuma Volunteer Department.
Montezuma City Council Members are: Jim Hicks, Mayor; Meryll Hicks, City Administrator; Mark Bolen, Frank Brownell, Don Vos, Ron Hedrick and Ron Willrich, Council Members.
